One of Toronto’s Most Talented and Original Musicians, Songwriters and Performer
Kevin Quain

In what is one of the longest running Indie shows in Toronto, Kevin Quain & The Mad Bastards (video1) (video2) (myspace+listen) (Cabaret-noir/Jazz/Vocals) [STT] continue to draw a roomful of dedicated fans to their weekly Sunday night performance.
This Sunday (Jan. 3, 2010), was no exception. This week, however, we were short one Mad Bastard, resulting in Kevin staying on guitar while Bryden Baird filled in for Kevin on accordion and piano, while still handling his regular duties on trumpet and flugelhorn.
Kevin’s collection of three original CD’s, including Tequila Vampire Matinee, from his award winning musical, should be in everyone’s collection.
What’s more amazing than Kevin’s talent is the fact that so many people in Toronto are still unacquainted with this exceptional artist.
What’s the cost to see this unique performer and his band? It’s whatever you want to throw in the jug. I encourage you to drop in at least a 5’er. You will be getting one hell of a bargain if you do. This show is worth five times that much.
One word of warning, think of this as a concert. People come to this show to listen, not to talk over the music. Please do likewise. Sit back, Relax. Give your tongue a rest.
